Description
Our clam shell covered wall mounted emergency eye wash unit comes with a lid to protect the underlying sprayer assembly from damage and debris. The nozzles are further protected from dust by auto-flip caps. The stainless steel ‘clam shell’ style cover is designed to open automatically once the unit is activated via the low resistance operation paddle.
The nozzle heads and integrated galvanised steel wall fixing bracket on this emergency eye wash fountain are bright yellow in colour so as to be easily seen, even in emergency situations, while the compact design means that it can be discretely installed in any workplace.
In order to encourage regular testing, these emergency eye wash fountains come with an inspection tag. Please note that in order to conform with ANSI guidance, the unit must be installed at a height no lower than 838mm and no higher than 1143mm from ground level.

What is ANSI compliance?
ANSI stands for ‘American National Standards Institute’. The ANSI oversees the implementation of standards for a huge range of products and services, both in North America and internationally.
ANSI Z358.1 pertains to emergency eye wash facilities. In order to comply with this code, water must be supplied at a tepid temperature that is neither uncomfortably cold nor hot enough to cause scald injuries. The water must be supplied at a specified flow rate for a 15 minute period so as to fully decontaminate the injured area.
